"Okay. Lets do this. I'll tell my family a little more about you. They will love you because you also play NBA professionally just like my older brother." he looked at me not agreeing, but I was willing to do anything for him.
Everything is happening so fast. The championship, my brothers new baby coming soon, and now my boyfriend and I taking the next step into our relationship; meeting my family.

This is the third installment of the Love and Basketball series. Please read Freshmen and Sophomore Year first. ___________________________________________ To get a rainbow, you must go through rainstorm, and they've seen a multitude of precipitation through all these years. Completely free from college and doing his own thing, Shai Carter was heading down a smooth road of comfortably-at least, that's what he assumed. With his very own AAU team and the manager of the YMCA, Shai has taken full control of his life, centering his happiness, the community, and of course, his beautiful wife. And with things seemingly dear and content, he didn't expect for his past to make a wrap around and how him off course. Although it took many cloudy days to get under his skin, rainstorms were unavoidable in his life. From birth, her life had been nothing other than rainbows and sunshines. She had her occasional storms and darkened night, but it had completely stopped. But there were still some clouds lingering around through her day. Entering her junior year of college, Dess, had finally found the appropriate time to get her life on track. Partially healed from the passing of her father, her journey to new beginnings had begun, and her sunny days seemed to be constant. Until it wasn't.
Was It All Worth It?
After being together for 12 years, Kayla thought she knew her husband like the back of her hand. She thought he was loyal, and faithful and had devoted his life to her. Of course, that's what she believed but boy was she wrong. It took one text from a friend for all of that to go away. All those things she fantasized about. The person she thought she knew more than anyone, who was supposed to have her back through it all, betrayed her. After deciding to file for divorce, she started to get her life back on track. She decided it was time for her to live for her, but her plans were derailed when a childhood crush reenters her life. Her husband decided he wasn't going to give up on his wife so easily which caused a battle between the two men. Two men fighting to win her heart and in the end Kayla asked herself. 'Was it all worth it?'
