"But you I know you're family will hate me." he seemed a little disappointed
"Okay. Lets do this. I'll tell my family a little more about you. They will love you because you also play NBA professionally just like my older brother." he looked at me not agreeing, but I was willing to do anything for him.
Everything is happening so fast. The championship, my brothers new baby coming soon, and now my boyfriend and I taking the next step into our relationship; meeting my family.

"And even after he's dead". He paused. "That's why". He paused again. "Paranoid". He shook his head, chuckled a little and got up and left. I sat there defeated and finally called the doctor. "Herbert Wright... His symptoms gotten worse". BOOK 2 - KARMA I felt a burning sensation. I touched my chest, where my heart is and raised up my hand to see that it was blood. I looked up to see the figuree standing over me with fear, hurt and hatred in their eyes. "I love you Herbert". She began sobbing. I recognised the voice. "But I am my brothers keeper". I began shaking my head quickly as she pointed the pistol gun at me. I tried to talk but I couldn't. The words wouldn't come out. I was dead already. Tears started streaming down her face now. "It was either you or us." She waved the gun about now wiping her tears, looking down at her stomach "That thing called Karma ain't a bitch like me". She mumbled clicking the pistol. Was It All Worth It?
After being together for 12 years, Kayla thought she knew her husband like the back of her hand. She thought he was loyal, and faithful and had devoted his life to her. Completely free from college and doing his own thing, Shai Carter was heading down a smooth road of comfortably-at least, that's what he assumed. With his very own AAU team and the manager of the YMCA, Shai has taken full control of his life, centering his happiness, the community, and of course, his beautiful wife. And with things seemingly dear and content, he didn't expect for his past to make a wrap around and how him off course. Although it took many cloudy days to get under his skin, rainstorms were unavoidable in his life. From birth, her life had been nothing other than rainbows and sunshines. She had her occasional storms and darkened night, but it had completely stopped. But there were still some clouds lingering around through her day. Entering her junior year of college, Dess, had finally found the appropriate time to get her life on track. Partially healed from the passing of her father, her journey to new beginnings had begun, and her sunny days seemed to be constant. Until it wasn't.
