Before her best friend Taylor lost her battle with cancer, Billie made a few promises she wishes she didn't have to keep. Like going back to camp Dive this summer as a counselor. She wasn't going to go but the guilt of breaking a promise to Taylor prompts her to get in her car. What Billie doesn't realize yet is that this summer will be the best way to heal. She'll reconnect and forge a great friendship. She'll meet Dorian Jacobs, who is the cutest of all the campers and is also going through his own grief. And she will finally learn the importance of appreciating her body.

This is a story about losing people you love and finding the strength to talk about it, to let it out and to be open to loving again.

30 parts Complete

Seventeen-year-old Charlotte James has it all. She has the grades, the looks, and the friends. She is also a shoo-in for valedictorian of her class. Everything is going according to her plan. Or at least it was. In early January of her junior year, Charlotte is diagnosed with mesothelioma; a type of terminal lung cancer. She is told by all of her doctors that she has only eight months left to live. At most. Stunned, Charlotte takes time to reflect on her life and realizes that she must face her fears and do something she thought was in her past. In hopes of making herself feel better before dies, Charlotte decides to rekindle the broken friendship with her ex-best friend and former childhood crush, Nathan. Nathan, who she hasn't seen since their horrific fight four years ago. But she isn't going to let her fear control her. Not this time. She needs to do what's right. One camping trip, two strangers, and three weeks to make things right. ⚠️DISCLAIMER⚠️ this book is not edited completely!! the printed version will be a little different FYI
