Apparently, he's supposed to rise up and fight some dude with his powers but it seems like a lot of work put on top of the fact that he can't remember anything about his infancy. Besides, why bother saving the world? It seems like fate gave him his abilities just so he could destroy it.

As he begins to study the charts, he discovers a book of labyrinths spanning the globe-labyrinths not just made of stone, but of technology and power, their existence hidden from the world. Some of these labyrinths hold secrets of unimaginable value; others, unfathomable dangers. The chip seems to be a key-a gateway into these labyrinths. As Jack begins to piece together the labyrinth's secrets, he realizes that it could lead him to a power unlike anything the world has ever known. But with that power comes the threat of those who would stop at nothing to control it. The line between friend and foe blurs, and Vesper must navigate not only the physical maze but the twisted web of secrets and lies surrounding him.
