Modern Merlin AU and Mergana fanfiction.
When Camelot fell, only Merlin was left. He was alone and broken. Waiting on a prophecy that failed him. But Arthur has returned. Is Merlin really the same Merlin he left behind?
With every good thing that happens, evil follows closely behind, hoping to catch the stragglers. Morgana is not so eager to let her plans fail this time.

Merlin had long since given up that Arthur would return. He had moved on with his life, and was currently a detective in London. It was the year 2021, and Merlin was doing fine. He had friends. A best friend even, Iris, who was also his partner. He still missed Arthur, but he was no longer waiting for the prat's return. But when bodies start turning up with alarming similarities to things in Merlin's life, he dares to start hoping, that maybe, maybe it was time for Arthur's return. More Than A Servant
*Starts out in the same timeline as Servant Of Two Masters* Merlin and the Knights are out on a trip, when they are suddenly attacked by a group of bandits. Merlin ends up getting hurt and is eventually captured by Morgana. Originally, she plans to use him to kill Arthur. However, what would happen if she were to see his scars? What if she were the one to discover that there's more to Merlin than meets the eye? How will she react when she finds out that Merlin is more that just a servant? ***** So like I said before this starts out with like the first 5 minutes of A Servant of Two Masters. If you have seen the scars type of stories before, this is a little bit like that. The difference is, it's Morgana that sees his scars first, which sparks some interesting conversations. Dark Merlin: The Man Called Emrys

As he fulfills his role with Morgana in seeking Camelot's destruction, his destiny edges closer, and the prophecy of him being Prince Arthur's bane is nigh. After the death of Uther and his son, Emrys and Morgana will be able to claim the throne for themselves and welcome in a new era. One where magic is welcomed. After discovering he has a dark half, Merlin sets out to find a way to stop the upcoming war and free himself from his inner monster, but the way doesn't seem easy. With the help of a letter from his father, he must learn to overcome Emrys before Emrys takes full control.
