They say you don't know what you're missing if you've never had it to begin with. The Johnson sisters would beg to disagree on that one. 

They've spent the majority of their young lives being tossed around the foster care system like debris in the ocean, struggling to catch their breath, stuck in a current not knowing whether to swim up or down. When they finally get the chance at a family after living so long without one, it's not so easy letting those walls down and risking it all. 

Charlie and Lydia Tanner know what they're missing too, and that's a family to call their own. After struggling with infertility for the better part of the sixteen years they've been married, they've finally been approved as foster parents. They're ready to give these two girls their chance at a happily ever after, but we all know it's easier said than done, especially with a skewed system breathing down their backs.

Follow them as they go through the ups and downs of parenthood and know this: family doesn't always mean blood, just like blood doesn't necessarily make a family.
