"How do I know you won't have to move again, and just leave me here alone?" He asks, his chocolate eyes shining.
"Listen to me, Calum." I put my hands on his shoulders, "All my life, I've had to leave places before I ever settled down. I could never make real friends, never get close to anything or anyone. But I'm 19 years old now. I'm going to medical school next year. And I know that if my family moves again, I'm not going with them."
Calums face slowly lights up with hope.
"This time," I stare straight into his eyes, "I'm here to stay."
