Rowan Madeline North has always been a fairly average girl; she has an average school life, average sports skills, and admittedly below-average grades. But when she meets Eliza Bane, a talented young basketball coach who just happens to be a recruitment agent for an exceptionally out of the ordinary school, her mundane life takes a turn for the odd. Now, with the help of her motley crew of new friends, Rowan must fight for her right to not only become a student of the Academy, but to keep her newfound powers. Hilarity doth insue.

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. A humble potion-maker with barely a token to her name. A bright, responsible daughter as well as a caring sister. A girl with big aspirations and a fiery yearning to study the mystic arts. And now she's a...sorcerer in training? After a life-altering accident, fourteen-year-old Elaine Harwood finds herself standing at the gateway to a new world. She is someone who possesses an above-average aptitude for practicing magic. A mage. However, when her older brother is left unable to walk due to a brutal injury, she is then granted the chance to take his place at Glyph Academy, the most prestigious magic teaching institution in the country. Now all she needs to do is survive a school filled with lunatic teachers, unorthodox classes, and a homeroom crammed with talented yet half-baked nobles. A tall order to be sure. Then again, nobody ever promised becoming a sorcerer would be easy... [Updates Every Tuesday]
