In this tour de force of literature, Kenney takes us to Spokane, Washington, but it isn`t a city you`d recognize. The houses are all identical. Food is distributed courtesy of the Agriculture Council. Religion has been declared illegal, and the United States is governed by a dictatorial Socialist Regime, headed by a godlike figure, Czerno, with whom disobedience breeds death.
Welcome to the world of Erik Christian, the Assistant District Attorney for Spokane. Patriotic and well educated, Erik is a perfect example of an upstanding Socialist citizen. But he is also a veteran of America`s massive and bloody Second Civil War, and Erik is plagued by ghosts of his past. When two police officers are murdered, the DA asks Erik to take the case. Soon Erik is engulfed in conspiracies, hidden agendas, and secrets that some would kill to keep covered. With one simple stroke, Erik`s world comes crashing down on him leaving him to wonder; in a world of lies, is anything real?
Witch Hunt is a stunning magnum opus crafted by the quick witted, and sharp tongued, Jacob Kenney. It`s an exploration into the idea of justice, and even though told through the perspective of another world, it shows some eerie similarities with our own. Kenney fills every space from the title to the end with awe striking descriptions, mind numbing terror and haunting narratives that leave the reader breathless. Every word from the moment you turn the first page to the second you finish the last isn`t simply bound to engross you, it will change you!

That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Welcome to the future, written in the past. A mutant plague has rendered part of the population as zombie-like humanoids. They have a conscious mind though, but their craving for brains is a bit of an antisocial issue. Being mostly made up of impoverished individuals, it is not surprised that they got cured cheaply and lastly, despite being the main test subjects. Lochlyn is their representative. She just wanted an education beyond elementary school. A little luckier stricken part of the infected population evolved into reverents. Reverants have a feudal system over the zombies to "keep them in order". The luck may have had to do with them being upper-class when being treated. Basilica is their representative. At eighteen, she wanted body modifications, a job, and etc... as a rite of passage entering adulthood. At least that's what she was thinking. The more she was told no, the more she wondered what she could do. There are still uninfected humans left in the U.S.A. Most of them are middle-class. Katrina is their representative. She gained a family member, but lost two. She aches to find out why she can never return home again. The three eighteen-year-old females, along with their beaus, journey for truth, equality, justice, restoration, love, and freedom lead them to the same end: the capital. Hello! I've decided to re-write this book, because I feel the new direction will make it much more interesting and open up more opportunities. As I update (which I do as often as I can) I write 'UPDATED' next to the chapter number. Until I get it all done, things may not make sense as you're reading them. I'm going to try and stick to the original plot as much as possible, so main characters and big events won't change that much. Thanks for reading! Here's a synopsis: Lilly Madison is a trained killer. She's spent her whole life killing vampires and hunting demonic creatures with her parents. They travel the country constantly, so Lilly hasn't had the opportunities that many kids her age have had, such as a proper schooling and a boyfriend. There is no room in her life for love, but things change when she is assigned to get close to a young man named Jason Adams because he is suspected of being a killer. Jason keeps to himself and stays close to his family, but Lilly is determined to crack through the barrier he seems to have around himself. Talking to students, she finds, reveals only rumors. She needs to get closer to uncover the truth. Shocking events reveal Jason’s true identity that he’s tried so hard to keep buried. Despite all common sense, Lilly finds herself drawn to him. She knows there is no room in her life for love. She knows he's a monster. So why is it that she finds it so hard to tell her parents about what he actually is? Desperate to protect her love’s family, but yearning to be loyal to her own, Lilly is forced to make the choice of who to side with. Will her decision force her to die a gruesome death or become immortal? Read on to find out!

Faith, fear, and fury. The strongest, most inalienable things that make us human. While the people of the world learn and grow, they shed feeling and emotion as time passes. Much like how matter cannot truly be destroyed, the energies of these sentiments never dissipates. Instead, it feeds beings born of all types of things, from ancient cultural followings to widespread societal discourse. In turn, these beings give back to the world--for better or worse. After the traumatic incident of his father's death, young DeMain is thrust into a world of turmoil and a hidden people right under the world's nose. As he harnesses a rare and unique ability gifted to him in exchange for his suffering, his view of the world unravels as he converges with others given the gift of Witchblood, an ability to see and interact with spirits. This book will take on its narrative based on the first-person views of three separate protagonists. I will remind those reading that 'protagonist' does not equate to 'hero' in all cases. A forewarning: This story includes many heavy themes and I felt the need to write them with the reality of how they happen. As such, be cautious. This book contains mentions of sexual assault, murder, violence, substance abuse, and overall conflict. There are also quite a varied amount of scenes with some 'gross' aspects to them. Though I imagine this would only affect those with vivid imaginations, you deserve to be warned regardless. Updates will done be once weekly if not more.

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. Monsters Are Created By Other Monsters. Sou & Isabelle, A set of eccentric and unhinged twins with erratic elemental powers has to set aside their differences, control their evergrowing power and win a war in order to protect the only place they call home their academy and other gifted people from being hunted by the beast. - What you're about to read doesn't matter because a sinister force lurks beyond the great graveyard that protects the institution of, for and by the gifted! The first thing you need to understand about this story is it stems from a place of really deep mistrust and an unforgivable betrayal. That's an angry theme. But that all of that changes when we realise there's a lot more to this ever-expanding story! If there are Witches in this universe then obviously there are Witch hunters to just finish them off. There's a rich history or a back story where almost 20 years ago the hunters gathered and removed all existence of witches with elemental magic (Controlling Earth, Fire, Water, Air & Spirit ) but only two survived. That's when the book jumps in to follow the path of those survivors. Um, there are factions of offensive(Elementals) and defensive covens(Guardians) and then there's the elements of epic love, love that consumes the people involved and of course what's love without a little danger. - Thank you so much if you've read this far. I deeply urge you to binge read the book and decide for yourself whether it's unputdownable or not. Thank you so much by the way dear reader. By reading this book you are supporting a plus-sized lgbtqiaap+ community model/writer who has seen nothing but struggle and blatant discrimination everywhere.

It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice.
