15 year olds, Mai Sakurauchi and Yumeko Sumire, have been best friends ever since they were young. Mai is a shy, nervous, clumsy and unconfident in herself, while Yumeko is a cheerful, happy and friendly girl. The two of them dream to be idols, but where they live, idols do not exist. So, they become Utaites and get noticed by a popular idol agency called StarrySky, after Mai and Yumeko uploaded their original song called "Dreams to Reality". Then the two go to the capital of the idol world, Hoshimiya, Japan.
