[On a probably indefinite hiatus.] The powerful eight gods of the universe look after Alternia. They send sprites to help their subjects in need. They protect the planet from harm.

But in return, every year a troll is selected and taken by the gods. The gods can do whatever they want with the chosen one, including turning them into a servant, killing them outright, or even making the troll into a god.

This year, Karkat Vantas has been chosen. He hates the gods because two years ago, his best friend was taken and died. Karkat feels depressed, and not even the sprites can help him. So what happens when a certain god decides to take care of Karkat and make him a god? What happens when everything turns upside down?

Dave Strider x reader x Karkat Vantas.. Warning: this gets rather violent in some context, blood and gore is fairly frequent. Strong language too, but I don't understand why you need that warning if you got through Homestuck. Dave, Karkat and other Homestuck characters belong to Andrew Hussie. Story belongs to me. Lemon is in there, but you do not need to read it. It's not the best of lemons, it's just kinda ridiculous and stupid. Ps. In the early chapters I may say this is not a Karkat x reader. That was when I was still deciding whether or not this was in fact going to be a Dave x reader x Karkat. So don't pay attention to any of that, cause it is a Dave x reader x Karkat.

Dave Strider. Maybe one of the most popular guys in the school. Nobody knows why he's always wearing those cool ironic shades of his, and most people want to find out. But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? (this is my second fanfic and the first homestuck one i've ever written so if the writing sucks don't judge! also none of the art is mine. ships included will most likely be johndave at the beginning, and throughout the fic theres gonna be erisol, rosemary, some jadenep, johndirk, and vrisrezi! if you don't like one or more of these ships deal with it.) Karkat Vantas is kind of just, well, a normal troll, I guess. He moves back to his hometown to try and get his life in check a bit, not expecting to make all of the friends he does on the way, as well as love interests. His life seems to get a lot better after he meets a certain shade wearing blonde named Dave Strider. The two quickly became good friends, both denying their obvious feelings towards one another, and just as they were starting to sort them out together, things just go down hill. In this AU, all of the trolls also live on Earth, and there's no SBURB. The ships is this are Davekat, Rosemary, Dirkjake, slight Erisol and Arasol, Gamtav, as well as a little bit of Vrisrezi, Davejohn, and Davejade I try to write more whenever I can! (Sorry for any grammar mistakes anywhere. This is my first story)
