Dean didn't believe in all this 'soul-mate' mojo that was supposed to happen when you turn sixteen. Everyone in his grade was talking about it.
"When you turn sixteen the first words they say to you appear on your wrist. If you meet them before you turn sixteen, they'll appear the day before you meet them. If they die before you meet them...their name appears in black ink instead."
Or so that's what they all said.
Cas didn't have an opinion. She thought it was a fun idea but was never entirely sure if she believed it.
This would soon change for the both of them.
They would both turn sixteen that January, and would both experience the unexpected.

Things work out just fine until an awry incident causes Dean and Cas to go missing after school one day. Soon after, a life-threatening trade may just cause Winter her life, but maybe it's worth it. This story involves Teen!Cas and Teen!Dean, so I suppose you could call it a high-school AU. The story is under major construction, so some parts are going to be a little jagged until i can go back and edit them. It's non-slash, but more on the fluffy side.
