Being the best. That's everyone's goal. Especially Dakota. Being the best means more than everything to her; it means her obscene father's praise, people accepting her, and knowing she's the best. Those to her are all she lives for. Sports are her only way to be the best.
Throughout her life, Dakota has played every sport possible, which all started with gymnastics when she was 2. She feels at home on the field, in the ring, in the gym, and on the winner's stand, never her actual home. Her endless ability to adapt to any sport make her undefeatable, proved by the extensive amount of trophies, medals, awards, and plaques she has earned, all proudly displayed on large shelves.
In high school, she finally finds a decent guy worth her time; she never really has had an interest in dating and relationships because she has been focused on winning, but he has a girlfriend. He says Dakota means more to him than his girlfriend and tells her he's going to break-up with his girlfriend. Guys can't ever be trusted, and she learns her lesson the hard way.
