Growing-up.
Is a word that usually sends shivers down everyone's bones, some people are afraid of the changes that  might occur to themselves, others get excited. 
Ruth is more of a special case... She is the type of person who pushes the future,past and present away, she doesn't want to change, she hardly gets excited about anything, but yet why does she feel like everything is crashing down? She hardly does anything. 
Confused and angry, she goes starts to wonder where everything went wrong therefore making her go through things she worked so hard to not think about.
