Glace has been friends with Twi ever since she saved her from some discriminating kids in their town. When Glace comes home to see a fire engulfing her house with her parents inside, Twi saves her and they began running from the Guard since that day.
When Twi and Glace discover there are more of their kind, shape-shifters that is, they have an argument. They find each other again and as the story goes on, their friendship increases as well as friendships with other people.
