At 14, she lost her mom
At 15, she was mentally and physically abused
At 16, she wanted to die
Lauren had a pretty good life up until her moms accident. It was a car crash. Her dad had been driving home late at night, took his eyes off the road for a few seconds, and then it all happened. Her dad blamed himself, began drinking and doing heroin to cope. Eventually, that wasn't enough, so he went to mentally and physically abusing Lauren.
But when Lauren's dad starts to target her 11 year old brother Chris, she realizes she can't leave him alone. She can't end her life, when her brother needs her. So she fights. Not only for her brother, but for herself as well.
