The brisk, spring day was ordinary, boring, and habitual as always. Lucy no longer felt excitement upon prancing through the varying flowers growing outside her home. She dropped to the ground, rolling onto her back while watching the blue sky stare back at her with a partly clouded glower. Emptiness saturated her being and lowered her guard.
Lavender eyes observed her, noting her inactive composure. The stranger had been escaping his family early every morning, stumbling upon new scenery each day. By chance, one of his adventures resulted in his eyes capturing a long blonde-haired woman within his gaze. She danced through the flowers with a heart-throbbing smile. Ever since, his infatuation grew and he wasted his days inspecting her actions as time passed.
Natsu, the ruler of Hell, had a foul personality. Thousands-no millions, trillions-of souls found their paths leading to the feet of his throne, whimpering words of unfinished business in the life that was snatched from them. He held no sympathy for them, he never pitied them, he only explained that their soul would remain in the underworld until it was reincarnated and waved them from his sight. However, something was missing from the Underworld's king, he had never longed for anything. Only accepted life-or death-as it was. It was almost as if he, suddenly, had emotions. What an awful thought...
