She was different. He was normal. She had a life long disease. He had allergies. She spent hours at the hospital. He spent hours wondering if she was okay.

Lindsey Shepard and Dylan Porter were newly found friends. Dylan moved to Florida from California and Lindsey never left Florida. And now she thinks she never will...

On December 21st, Lindsey was admitted to the hospital. Doctors told her she could've had leukemia or renal failure. But it was Lupus Erythematosus, an auto-immune disease.

Dylan was there and he wouldn't leave her side, even when she was admitted for the second time. He held her hand through everything and gave her a shoulder to cry on, helping her wipe her tears.

This is a story filled with hospital trips, tears, love, being scared, and doing the inevitable.

Johnny Orlando finally opens it to find Mackenzie whos shaking, crying, and hysterical. Before Mackenzie even knows it, she blurts out her diagnosis story to a man she gets mixed signals from and has confused feelings towards. In a moment of desperation, Johnny offers her a kidney - but even that might not be enough. What if Lupus takes over more of Mackenzie's organs? Will they be able to set aside their differences for the sake of Mackenzie's health, career and life in general? Furthermore, will they be able to stop themselves from falling for each other- just in case Mackenzie doesn't make it out alive? ••• Recommendations: "To me, holding on was enjoyable because of the explicit detail in it. everything was so well and carefully written, and it's really hard to find books like that nowadays. This book is also realistic in many ways and original, with all the stuff relating to the hospital." ~ Emily (jenzieheart_) "It made me smile at the fact that they loved each other so much yet they went to show that they hated each other. How Johnny cared so much he put his life on the line for Kenzie it was what brought the whole story to life. Also the details were fantastic!" ~ Kyleigh (kyleighwrites) Genre: teen fiction / romance / tragedy Status: completed

When life is falling apart for 17-year-old Nigel, college rejections, family pressures, and a sister's mysterious illness, he has no idea that a chance meeting with the enigmatic Annika will challenge everything he thought he knew about love, destiny, and what it means to fight for those you cherish. But when his sister's diagnosis turns life upside down, and Annika reveals secrets of her own, Nigel must face a reality heavier than anything he imagined. As tragedy and miracles dance hand in hand, To the Moon and Back becomes a powerful journey of loss, healing, and the unexpected ways that people come into our lives at exactly the right moment. Heartfelt, humorous, and hauntingly relatable, this is a story about the deep pull of family, the sting of what we can't control, and the courage to believe in second chances, even when the odds are against us. For readers who love the emotional depth of Nicholas Sparks and the raw authenticity of John Green, this novel will stay with you long after the final page. ---To My Readers - A Letter from the Heart--- I wrote To the Moon and Back in memory of my young sister, who passed away from cancer in 2013. She was only 14, full of dreams, laughter, and a light that never dimmed, even in her final days. This story is my way of keeping her spirit alive, of reaching for the stars she never got to touch, and of giving voice to the love that still echoes in my heart. Today, I'm proud and emotional to say the novel is complete. Every chapter carries a piece of her. Every line is stitched with the hope, pain, and beauty of what it means to love deeply and lose too soon. I poured my soul into this book, and I hope you feel that in every word. Thank you for walking this journey with me. For reading, reacting, and believing in this story. It's more than fiction - it's a tribute. And now, it's yours. With love, Justin J. Jones
