Michael Clifford was just an ordinary suicidal victim. He was depressed, and had the impression that everyone in his life hated him. After his parents died in a car crash he had nobody to go to, to talk about what he's going through, except for maybe his friends ( to some extent ), Ashton and Calum. Michael was hating himself for a long time until someone appeared in his dream and impacted/changed his whole life... But not in a good way.
