Fae was raised with eccentric, supernatural-obsessed parents who taught her to fear nothing. She thought her life was all figured out by the time she turned 16; she had been the strongest, smartest, and most fierce girl in her school, and nobody would dare say otherwise. Fae was the girl that fought in regional mixed martial arts, trained with local Marine Corps recruits, and could powerlift with most of the guys on the football team despite being under 100 lbs and merely 5'2. She was the one every girl wanted to have the approval of, and the one that every guy wanted to have!
What goes up must come down though, as her paranoid and occasionally abusive boyfriend reminds her constantly. Fae may be fire, but Jace is ice. He is the beginning of the means to an end for Fae. As her health unexpectedly declines, Jace capitalizes on her new weaknesses and breaks her down piece by piece. How long will she last under tragedy and cruelty? Who will save the hero?
