When Skylar was younger, she committed a crime. It had been declared that she was not entirely responsible for her actions due to her being a child and been ruled as "not in healthy mental state," she was not to be jailed, but she would have to live in a mental hospital for eight years. So, when she is eighteen she is sent to live with her aunt. Skylar is still troubled by her rocky past, and for this reason, among others, she is assigned a protector. Her protector is named Colton Black. Colton is in charge of protecting Skylar, the pyromaniac.
