Forbidden Love

“i've always wanted to do this.." he said, then my heart skipped a beat
"Why?"
"Because I love you" this time my heart stopped completely.
"..but I'm so scared.."
"I know, you don't think I am too?! I'm terrified! Ever since you told me I've been freaking out I mean my hands are like dripping with sweat.."
"So this is it..?" I asked dumfounded. Then he said it.
"Lena, will you marry me?"
I can't breathe! Oh my gosh..this is really happening. I'm not dreaming am I?! I pinched myself and when I felt the slight stinging in my arm i realized this is no joke-this is the real deal.
"Yes" I choked out trying to hide the skepticism in my voice, but i think he knew. Silence. I guess we are both at a loss for words.
