In a world unlike any other, full of danger and beauty a bloodthirsty war rages. Evangeline Evans, a orphaned girl with no past learns she is the rightful heir to the Seelie Court thrown after her biological mother disappears in battle and she is given a choice: be queen or bestow it on someone else.
She and her friends must travel to the Seelie Court and name a new queen. Our world is full of innocent things but this is not our world and as she learns this will she be willing to go as far as to completely forget all she learns just to be free?

I heard him turn away but continued to look into the fire, wishing away what I had seen. "I think we all wish we could be a little more naive considering the situation."
