The year is 3002. Ella is going to get married soon, to her beloved boyfriend of four years. They're sealing the deal at the fanciest restaurant in the city. But, something goes wrong. In a thief's pocket lies a device with the ability to turn back time.
As Ella and Rick tell each other they want to be together forever, the police burst in. The device is destroyed as Rick tries to help the thief, his own brother. As Ella reaches out for him and touches his hand, the device breaks in Rick's hand. Time seems to stop for a second and a bright light flashes. They look around in confusion, unsure.
Everything is frozen. Everything but them.
