I promised myself I would never fall in love again. Especially after what happened last time. He ruined me. He hurt me and destroyed me in ways that I never thought were possible. So, I promised myself that I would never subject myself to the pain that one feels when their love is not properly returned. 

But it took twelve days...that's how long it took me to fall for him. I couldn't help it, he was my cousins best friend, he already had a girlfriend, and I was probably more trouble than I was worth. But we were still drawn to each other.
