Juliet is her own version of normal, she lives an exciting life with colors everywhere! This has been her life forever. She is different, but that doesn't stop her. She thought that all human beings see things the way she does, until she found out.
Juliet has Synesthesia (syn·es·the·sia)
the production of a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body.
OR... in other words, she sees shapes and colors everywhere. Every word, number, and letter has its own unique color. Food can taste like colors, emotions give off little objects of color that float around.
This may seem weird, but to Juliet it's amazing.
