Excerpt: "I have been sent here with glorious purpose." The supernatural power in his voice shakes the ground and hammers against my chest. It is proud and indomitable. "I have been ordained by the Lord Most High to smite evil across His land." The sword is lifted and points to me, defenseless, bruised, and bloodied, in the middle of a crop circle.
"You, Elissa, are hereby sentenced to death."
Elissa was raised not knowing who she was or who she was meant to be. Found on the steps of a cathedral and abandoned to the whims of the foster care system, she is placed to uncaring parents Caroline and Robert Frank for the sole purpose of her attached paycheck. Soon, a stranger arrives at her doorstep with the divine intention of killing her with a flaming sword, only for her to be rescued by a group of misfits and propelled into an adventure unlike any other, but one she did not ask for.
Can Elissa find a family she so desperately needs and a love she so craves?
Can she survive the evergrowing amount of threats to her life and discover who she is?
