  Elissa was raised not knowing who she was or who she was meant to be. Found on the steps of a cathedral and abandoned to the whims of the foster care system, she is placed to uncaring parents Caroline and Robert Frank for the sole purpose of her attached paycheck. Soon, a stranger arrives at her doorstep with the divine intention of killing her with a flaming sword, only for her to be rescued by a group of misfits and propelled into an adventure unlike any other, but one she did not ask for.

Why is it that my life is falling apart, but a drug dealer/rapist is getting rich with his toes in the sand? Why am I being hunted? Why am I someone's prey? Why me?
