I pushed my legs to go faster, beginning to feel a burning sensation in my lungs. Eyes glued to the buildings, hand clutching my knife, I willed my body to not give up on me now. I was maybe 100 yards away. Just a couple more seconds. 75 yards. I can hear them. 50 yards. Breathe. 25 yards. I can make it, just hold on. 10 yards- shit!
