A short story written in one day increments, placed one year apart on winter break. This story follows Sophie and Ashley, two girls who meet at age twelve when Ashley and her father move in next door to Sophie, and they quickly become best friends. Sophie alone knows Ashley's secret, the reason Ashley's arms always seem to be covered in bruises. Bruises that if looked at closely enough, have an uncanny resemblance to her fathers fingers. As years pass will the burden of their secret tear them apart or will it strengthen their bond as they carry each other through life?
