I sit quietly at the book drinking my coffee and watching the world whirl about me at a dizzying speed. It isn't until she walks in a flur of roasted coffee, powdered sugar and the tang of lemon pie, that i stopped.
My name is Jace Simmons, nerd, orphan and the boy you wanted to get to know.

Everyone has those first day jitters, right? Would it be any different if you came from a different country? Jace Wilson has just moved from Russia to America with his dad. His first impression: America is weird. On his first day at Ocean Creek High he finds out that in America, on your sixteenth birthday, you get something taking away from you by the government. Matt Timmons is Mr. Popular. He's got all he needs. A nice house, amazing siblings, hot girlfriend, captain of the football team and good grades. That's all a guy needs, or at least that is what he thinks. Until Jace shows up. Matt is throw into a whirlwind of change. Down with everything that is normal! When their lives calm down and everything seems "normal" again The Government and... Some girl shouts, "Oh! THE BOY IS THE NEXT ONE TO GET MARRIED" I blush intensely but Jace didn't seem bothered by it. After awhile the speeches started and I dragged Jace out of the reception hall and into a vacant upstairs room. In the room there was an ugly orange couch against off white walls, a computer on a desk with a rolling desk chair. There was a hideous marble carpet. He and I take a seat on the couch without turning the lights on. We sit inaudibly in the dark, with just the moonlight lighting our faces. "Jace, I wanna ask you something." "What is it?" He asks, clueless. "Okay I know that I haven't always been the nicest, and I haven't exactly been there for you but, will you maybe go out with me?"

Honestly, this book is my very first bxb book so it sucks. I suggest yall read my 2nd or 3rd one instead of the same series which are much more well liked loll. Trust me😂 "So Anthony, can you explain why is there a fly in my coffee?" I smirked internally as he squirmed under my hard gaze. "I'm s-sorry sir. I'll get my staff to c-change a new cup for you immediately and i-it will be on the house." He stammered out anxiously he quickly shooed the waiter back into the kitchen. "Do you think this will stop me from making a complain?" His eyes widened in fear, his face almost paling. "Please don't, sir!" He pleaded, his voice increasing to a much higher pitch. "So you raise your voice at your customers when you are at fault? " I quirked my eyebrow, pretending to be serious. if it was even possible, he paled even further, seemingly desperate to just solve this issue. "How about this, you give me a kiss and I will let your cafe go. How about that?" His eyes widened...with what, I'm not sure but definitely not with fear. "I-I..." So that ^ is just an inside of what's going to happen. Please read the story to find out what happens in the end. (Lowercase intended on cover) "The simple things in life are never meaningful, and the meaningful things in life are never simple. So maybe I don't want meaningful. Maybe I just want someone who cares enough to listen." Gemma Summers and Noah Hanson are strangers. They have little in common, not to mention polar opposite personalities, yet lead extremely similar lives in the sense that they both feel they are missing something. In a small, vintage style coffee shop the two meet, finding solace in their queer, complication free conversations. They don't want to be friends, they don't want to be lovers, they don't want anything more than to talk over two cups of coffee. But keeping up the ideal simplistic relationship proves harder than it seems as unwanted feelings of attachment and connection arise, leaving them both wondering if maybe simplicity isn't what they are searching for, and if they are searching for something that has already been found. Completed-- ABOUT TO UNDERGO SOME EDITING AND REVAMPING especially for chapters 41 to 48 and 53. Bare with me here, as the writing process is torturous (and lovely, of course.) Expect a shitton of updates in the next few months. Warning: Mature language within (it's swearing, they're twenty, no surprise there) These chapters rarely exceed five hundred words, which is why there are so many of them. I hope you enjoy! (Please do not copy my work. I appreciate that you like my idea enough to steal it, but there are better ways to show this appreciation. So please, don't. I've worked hard on this.)
