This story touches on potentially triggering content, including the use of slurs, toxic family relationships, anxiety, anger, and death. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

Derek used to believe in love, it's what he lived and breathe for. Until he watched his mother become a slut because of it. The one thing he thought was so beautiful and the cure all to mans problems no longer exist. He became cold and heartless to anyone who didn't deem themselves worthy in his eyes. He played games with girls hearts, cause them to fall in love and literally break their hearts when he doesn't return the affection. He's just that type of guy. What makes Monica stand out from anyone else was the fact she's never been in love. She didn't believe in it, her parents never fell in love. She lives with her mom during the week and her father every now and then. It just something she's never witnessed so she didn't believe in it, to her it was just a myth. So when she gets asked to play the game of love with Derek she literally can't say no.

Dominic Hernandez is your typical bad boy at school the only differences, he loves being in the cage to beat the living hell out of people, the best part you can't get in trouble for it. Dom gives off that scary vibe and if you're not in his small circle he treats you bad, no one looks at him every time someone walks past him or him passed them they look down or don't look his way. he has a cold stare, no one knows why his is the way he is, only his small circle, he is one you don't want to mess with, and yeah he has his share of girls but never has a serious relationship with them. so what happens when fate makes them meet can she break down his walls in time, or will it be too late and she takes fate into her own hands? Rose thinks she can beat them, so Rose challenges her and tells her that she can beat her, so they make a deal, but the one think Rose didn't think of was that she stopped ridding because of her mom's accident and that means she has to get back on a horse. At first she doesn't think she can until a beautiful grayish white mustang comes to her dad's farm, who Rose names later as Stardust. Rose finally realizes that she can do this alone, she's going to need help from her father to help her get back on and also have help from the new cute boy, Austin who's helping for his community service. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not. I hope you try to read it and see that it's really good, and touching sorta. So just try to love it.*
