TMNT2012: From the Perspective of Unlikely Friends
What if Splinter was much stricter on Leonardo then his brothers when it came to training and that's why he's so much more disciplined? What if Leonardo was the only one of the four turtles who actually wanted to go topside? What if Leonardo was the human son of Splinter before they were mutated when he was one? What if Leonardo and Karai were twins? What if Leonardo's relationship with his brothers was rocky at best? What if he's the only one who rescued April that night from the Krang and the only one to form a close friendship with her? What if he was the one to train April in ninjitsu instead of Splinter? What if April discovered her powers way earlier on? What if a spark ignited between the two characters? This is an AU of season one that switches from April's, to Leonardo's perspectives, where all these 'what if's end up happening. I might also do the other seasons, but I'm not sold on the idea yet. School's a total nightmare, and things at home with mom are a hot mess ever since dad passed away. Just when you're about to throw in the towel, you wake up in a hospital room, and to your shock, your dad's right there with you, but nothing makes sense with the memories you keep. Before you can even process this bizarre reunion, you and your dad are victims of an attempted kidnapping, you being rescued by 4 mutant turtle brothers, who offer to help you find your father. As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye. Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby. Plus, English isn't my first language, so sorry if the phrasing is a bit off. Just in case, I'll mention neither TMNT 2012 or the fanart used for the cover are mine.
