Sunshine Gold a 17 year old sweetheart who's life took a drastic turn at 5 now lives with a psychotic mother, who drowns her daughter as a coping mechanism for her deceased boyfriend.
Growing up in a average neighborhood Sunshine has kept quiet about her mental mother without friends it's a lot easier to keep her life on the low.
Until one faithful day she encounters the schools bad boy Travis Delona in fifth period history, with his free spirit and cunning attitude the two may not see eye to eye.
But opposites just so happen to attract leaving both of them coming back to each for more.
