Five years ago, Vienna Romano entered a stage of her life that no one would want to encounter at the young age of twelve--the time where someone's personality could be ever-changing, raw, and malleable. She was hit with such a sporadic turn in her life, driving her off the path of who she wanted to be, having to pave a new road for herself. And she thought she'd do it with her best friend and neighbor since the age of two--Kai Abbott. They had done almost everything together, and attatched at the hip. Vienna needed him, especially when such a tragedy had happened to her and everyone else around her showed no empathy. She thought that she would do it with him--that is, until he left just two days after when it happened--no goodbye, no notice. Nothing.

Three years ago, Vienna changed dramatically. She wore a painted facade of an exuberant, rich lifestyle that hid her insecurities and secrets. On the exterior, she was simply someone who had quickly gained popularity and had too many fake friends to count.

Five minutes ago, Vienna Romano discovered that her used-to-be best friend had returned.
