Deep in the Alaskan bush live Bush people. They live off the land, usually in families. One of these families is the Johnson family. One day, a mysterious girl is found, injured and unconscious on the Johnson's land by the youngest male, Sengh. Taken in to be cared for at their house, the girl wakes up. To the family's surprise, she is unable to remember anything from her past, or even her name. As a temporary substitute until her name is remembered, the strange girl is dubbed Spirit.
Soon after she wakes, Spirit begins having strange dreams and visions, not only of her own past, but also some seemingly of other's futures. In some of these dreams are similarities, leaving a single thread to connect them. A strange, familiar symbol. Once some of her visions start to come true, a few family members agree to help her investigate the dreams, and the meaning behind the symbol within them, and what relevance they may have to her past. Slowly, nightmarish memories return to her, just enough to bring even more questions than answers. How did this girl end up here, and why was she so wounded when she was found? Where did she come from? Why is she having these visions? What relation do all of these questions have to her amnesia, as well as where she was discovered?
