The Color of Ghosts

Laura has a dear, little brother she is unable to protect. The brother, Fenris, has lost an important part of himself: control. He is possessed by some sort of "ghostly virus" as Laura calls it, and he is forced to wait for the inevitable while Laura desperately fights to keep it a secret from . . . everyone: her abusive uncle and guardian, her friends, her enemies, and a particular boy of below-average stature with cheery, honey-brown eyes who can take anything except lies.
