After the death of one of her closest friends, Lynn’s divorced father decides he’d like to rekindle their father-daughter relationship that they once had before her parents separated. He wants closure, while Lynn has no interest in doing so, already overwhelmed with the sudden turn of events her life has taken. Instead, she distracts herself from her grief with an intriguing boy she met one night in an elevator. Though she thought that nothing would arise out of the strange encounter, she later finds herself in a very unexpected situation.
