This is a tale about a young 16-year-old girl called Ashley Brown, whom one day is confronted by her cousin who tried to murder her at the young age of six. It is revealed that she possesses powers beyond her wildest dreams and that many people around her are not human also, including her new crush, Alo, who just so happens to be a devilishly handsome merman.

Because of the sudden reality shift, she runs away under the stress, only to drag home a rich yet deadly bounty hunter along with meeting Alo's mother who gives her the trident - the only thing that can kill a merman.

And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! (I don't own any of the characters or art work that appears in this fanfic. All of the characters belong to Rick Riordan.)
