Joy's life is not exactly joyful. She recently tried to kill herself and after being released from a mental institution, she wonders how things can ever get better. Going back to high school is just one of the many challenges she will have to face before reuniting with her past and learning how it has affected her. As she gains new friends and loses relationships she constantly struggles with depression and relapsing. Only time will heal her, or so she thinks.
