"Why?" I asked dumbfounded
"What is the point of this union?" I cried. How could anyone be so cruel and cut off from his human emotions?
"For power,.."He began and paused. Not out of guilt but rather out of flavouring of the emotions and contentment. He's feeding off my pain, I realised. I quickly schooled my facial expression of one of indifference. I stepped beside him to look out the view from his office window wall.
And I let out one word he never expected me to.
"I request divorce from you" I asked in a blank tone, forcing myself to seem indifferent to the pain raging inside of me.

To help people.
When her grandma uses her passionate manipulation to mend a rift among the family, Nusaybah readily agrees, causing her to be a pawn in a mad game for power, where love is not the priority and a chess game becomes reality.

Anger, pure anger and fear sipped through her veins threatening to burst out. She struggled vehemently to release her hand, but that only made him tighten his hand around her twisted arm. She cried out of pain but that only seemed to impress him. He smirked and said, "Mm, so fiesty?" He glared at her and pushed her against the wall. "You are evil Abdullah!" She almost shouted. Beads of sweat formed on her silk skin. Why was he making her life a living hell in her matrimonial home? She was supposed to live a happy life with her so-called husband, but instead, he is bullying her. "Just tell me, why?" She gazed at him confused wondering what he meant by that. "Why what?" She cried "Heh" he chuckled, "don't play dumb with me Kulthum. Just tell me why you chose him over me? What am I lacking? Huh? Tell me!" He shouted pushing her more against the wall. "Because you are evil! I never loved you in the first place, you are nothing worth loving" she spat as tears flowed down her beautiful face. As soon as he heard that, his face stoned up while his jaw clenched and his eyes became bloodshot. Such a sight she had never seen since she was married to him. "If I can hate you, why can't you, Abdullah?! I am so tired of this relationship, I can't do it anymore just let me go" With a dejected heart, he released her hand and whispered dangerously close to her ear, "If I can't have you, then no one will" He stumped off angrily while she slumped to the ground releasing a heavy sigh of defeat as tears rolled down her cheek. Since the day she got married to him, there had never been a day where she laughed for at least two minutes. All she knew at that very moment was that she was doomed! *completed but currently under editing*

"She *was* your wife, but now she belongs to me. And I won't stand for a single insult against her-don't forget that." With a firm grip on Ruksana's hand, he walked away without waiting for a reply, her steps trailing helplessly behind him, as if swept away by the force of his will. ---------- He paced the room like a caged lion, his footsteps echoing off the walls. He wanted to set the whole world on fire, to watch it burn as he was burning inside. The pain was too much to bear, too much to endure. Today, his love had been shrouded in the veil of death; today he had witnessed her becoming another man's wife. If anyone could understand the depths of such agony, it was he. His phone rang, but without a glance, he hurled it against the wall with all his might. The phone shattered into a thousand pieces, mirroring the fragments of his own shattered heart. He collapsed onto his knees, tears streaming down his face. The pain was excruciating, the loss of his love almost unbearable. -------- She was about to leave when he grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him. Her back grazed the solid wall of his chest as he leaned in close. His breath tickled her ear, sending shivers down her spine. A kiss, feather-light, brushed against her cheek. "Listen to me," his voice a low rumble against her ear, filled with love and unwavering confidence, "this might sound crazy, but you are mine. No matter how far you run, you will always belong to me."
