Anastasia Moonshade, two years out of the academy, is the daughter of Guinvere Moonshade. The big deal? Guinvere Moonshade started up a very (as in VERY) successful Mundaering business there is. Mundaering is the hunting of Dark Sorceresses, if you're wondering. She works in the business her mum owns, Midnight Hunters.

Since her mum is a huge reason why Dark Sorceresses have been rapidly falling in the numbers that makes her a target for Dark Sorceresses. Along with her mum. Her mum gets captured, by none other than Abellona. Abellona is one of the Darkest Sorceresses there ever was. Her magic is ancient! How can Anastasia, an Enchantress with barely any experience, beat Abellona?

The queen invites her for a discussion of this serious event. Abellona strikes at the castle, and Anastasia and Aria, the princess, barely escape. Along the way some friends tag along. And James... A mysterious boy he is, although irritatingly cute.
