"So wait... Wizards and magic and supernatural... That all exists?" I murmured. "Aren't you a wizard...?" She asked, clearly horrified. "... No." I managed. "Well fuck." She said. "I've just broken the biggest rule. And for that, I may not live much longer. And neither will you."

I'm Ivy Hilton, and I screwed up. Big time. One, I'm one of the most powerful wizards in my world, and the next, I'm half-magic, stranded in the mortal realm, and fighting for my life. Why? Because I thought I could outsmart another wizard who's just as stubborn and reckless as I am. Spoiler: I couldn't. Now, the only way to get home is to find some mythical place called the Garden of Stone. Yeah, it sounds made up to me too, but it's my only shot. Oh, and did I mention there are powerful beings-disguised as humans, of course-who want me dead before I can even get close? Fantastic, right? My magic's running low, I've got no allies, and the longer I stay here, the more I realize that maybe this whole mess is way bigger than me. But hey, no pressure. If I fail, it's not just my problem-it's the end of both our worlds. So yeah, no big deal.
