~ The Dreaming: Old Shalon's Story ~
It's the year 2067, and I am living in the shattered remains of Old Vancouver -- after the Cascadia quake, after WW3, after it all ended. I've been surviving all these years through the help of a young boy named Michael, a wildling, an orphan, one of the Forgotten. He's been with me since he was a little one, but now he's all grown up. This morning he told me he's going to leave Old Vancouver. He wants me to come with him... But that's ridiculous! How can I do that? I'm too old for those kinds of shenanigans....

The Dreaming is a novel series spanning over 200 years and designed to be read in ANY order YOU choose. Start with any of these that interest you:

- 2257: Imorah's Story --> Imorah has lived her entire life underground in The Shelter, with a religious cult called The Family. She's never seen the sky or breathed fresh air and The Family is the only thing she's ever known. One day Imorah's Grandmother disappears. They say it was a suicide, but Imorah knows better. The only clue Imorah has is the book that her Grandmother left behind -- a book that Imorah can't even read.

- 2257: Liran's Story follows a young man who struggles to survive in the deserts of what is left of North America. One day he finds an old technological relic -- a robot head that still functions -- and Liran is thrust into a dangerous web of secrets and lies.

- 2063: Old Shalon's Story --> this is Old Shalon's Story, please read story blurb above.

COMING SOON. Starting sometime late in 2015, I will post the last installment of The Dreaming, where these five narratives will collide.

Five lives bound together by an ancient book whose language has long died out, in a time and place where books are not only taboo, but could actually get you killed. The Dreaming: a place where time has no meaning, and everything is connected.

"I want to create a better world where no one hurts each other, to foster a place where love doesn't have to make hate, where no one hurts or kills anybody. A world where I don't have to hurt anybody anymore." The First Dawn has concluded; Children of Blight are running rampant, and the last remaining Bastions of humanity are searching and killing for them for their last chance to find one to restore the earth. The World Capital stands above everyone, with a shadow government smothering the people. The power balance has been tipped for a century now- then came a girl named Armageddon, changing the world forever. Lydia Armageddon, born on the nuclear fronts of the decimated America, was sold to be a child soldier of The World Capital and is found out as a Child of Blight, her trait being named 'Convergence.' The world is at risk of war once more, with the starting gun being fired for the race to control her. Subject to all matters of mutilation, violation, and experimentation, she escapes Blight Laboratories and finds that the world outside is no better than the months she spent in captivity. Hatred for humanity forms, and a monster is coming to be, slowly, just as a fanatical religion predicted all those years ago. Father like daughter. Until she decides to rob an old man sleeping by a fire with an empty gun, not knowing her life was about to be changed forever. The world prepares for the second dawn as Armageddon's child is born-their saviour. The world looks red, and Armageddon is there in the middle of it all, atop a mountain of corpses upon Mother Earth's flesh. March 17th, 2157: A family of three Children of Blight was found hiding on the edge of the Chinese Blight. The events that unfolded that day, as reported by the 48th Platoon of Russian Cyber-Militia, are as follows:

(The first installment of the TDIQL PROJECT) The story revolves around Joseph Brown as he drifted silently in the endless spaces of the "Hidden World", also known as the afterlife. While struggling to investigate why he ended up in this world, a memory of the past resurfaces about two ill-fated childhood friends, who suddenly took separate paths in their lives on a whirlwind of questions. They would shared a special bond linked by the memories they spent together and led each ones path to a much larger chain of events... But Little did he know that the journey he'll take was more than just that... ~~~ ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS In preparing this short novel, we have drawn on the works of our childhood works and intrests. Jack and Ann have taken me on a great adventure full of mystery and incredible technology, I hope you'll join us. I know you have a lot of reading choices, but if you have space left in your literary adventure cup, please join Jack and Ann as 2021 turns into 2022, happy reading! __ The demon whispers inside Jack's mind. "They are not worthy, they are cattle, these new humans you covet. The so-called creator has betrayed you, replaced you with these organic imitations. Slaughter them all." It's funny, not in a ha-ha funny way, but a sad, my madness doesn't make sense type of way, Jack thinks, because wasn't he human? Worse still, the voice comes with impulses that are hard to resist. Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. Come along on this action-packed thriller as Jack fights to remember who he is, tries to end an eternal war, and atone for sins he doesn't remember...yet.
