Arabella has always been rebellious towards her 'overprotective' mother's will, always bringing boys with tattoos and piercings or staying out later than curfew most nights, to much of her mothers distain. Her single mother, Antonia, has a new job and forces them to move to Chicago. Arabella starts at a new private school that her best friend April, who she knows through family, already goes to  she intends to change her ways and leave this school with a brand new outlook on life in order to leave her tragic past behind her. However, without thought she quickly goes back to old routines and starts talking to one of the most popular boys in the school, Blake. However Arabella isn't about to make herself readily available to him, as it is clear he gets around. How will Blake react to this? Meanwhile, Arabella's 'best friend' in Chicago, Lottie has always been jealous of Arabella and her looks so now that she has gone, it's given Lottie a major confidence boost. Despite what has happened in the past between them Arabella has forgiven her and invites her over for a huge beach gathering over one weekend. What happens when people find out what happened at Arabella's old school, will they accept her?
