As I walked down the cold, bleak alleyway, I heard footsteps. Pounding, thundering footsteps like someone running. I hid behind a huge trash container with boxes around it in thinking it was some hoodrats and hoping I wouldn't get jacked or beat up again. But instead of the big muscular figures in wife beaters and tattoos I saw a small hooded figure running. And soon after, a large muscular man in what looked to be a suit. The smaller figure was running from the man and thought it would be a good idea to hide exactly where I was. The figure soon realized there was someone else here with them and silently cursed. The figure turned to me and whispered "shh.. if you want to leave here alive I advise you to be extremely quiet and crouch down closer... ". And that's when I realized the figure was a girl.

"Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. She....I....... I was running through the thick branches, pushing the leaves out of my way with all my might. I had to get away.
