When she was five a member from the phantom troupe, Machi, found her and took her in. She joined them and they soon discovered that she already knew how to use Nen and that she didn't have a name. So they gave her the name Ari Kumo, meaning Elegant Spider.
Now Ari is 12 years old and about to take the Hunter Exam with Hisoka. With an creepy clown watching her every step, a dark secret and two curious boys who would do anything to find out the secret, it's not easy. But what happens when she starts to grow strange feelings towards one of them?
