Kiera's P.O.V.

All of a sudden, I hear a clap of thunder over head and it starts raining. I try to wake everyone up, eventually succeeding. "Guys, we need to get under some shelter." Zach nodded and yells over the already pouring rain, "Get to the tents!"

We moved as fast as possible, fighting against the pouring rain and fast winds. We were almost there when there was a bright flash and I was frozen in place. I couldn't move my hands, or my mouth, or even look around to see if everyone was okay. I could only see what was right in front of me.

Suddenly, I heard another clap of thunder and I could feel myself being shot backwards. I hit a tree , knocking the breath out of me, and slid down.

Damn, that hurts!

I could hear thuds and screams from everyone, as they were shot back, too.
Once I was on the ground, I felt myself slide down the hill that the tree was on, eventually stopping at the bottom. My body felt numb and my vision began getting blurry as my eyes began closing.

Eventually, I succumbed to the darkness, the rain still pouring.
