The fact was plain and simple; Zoe Westbrooke loathed lifeguards. To her, the only purpose they served was to get in her way and inaccurately assuming she would die.
So when Zoe, a usually profoundly confident surfer, gets into an accident, nearly drowns, and then has her life spared by an overly egotistical lifeguard, she "inadequately" thanks him.
Zoe and --- begin to talk more, and it leaves them both wondering: what will happen next?
