Jamie's boyfriend of three years dies and she soon discovers that he committed suicide. She is heartbroken knowing that she was unaware of Thomas' condition of depression. Jamie was getting ready to shut herself out from the rest of the world. With so many unanswered questions she has never felt so alone,when she comes across a journal. His journal. Questions are answered and she learns so many things about him. There is even a message to her. One of the people mentioned in the book is Thomas' good friend Andy Walker. Being mentioned multiple times Jamie looks out for Andy, wanting to get to know someone who was so close to Thomas, in hopes of helping her cope with the loss. When she finds him, a love story erupts. Will Jamie choose to let go of Thomas and move on?

Due to having a terrible memory, Aiden decided to write in journals about his daily struggles, his longing for a better life, and breakthroughs that he accomplishes throughout the story. Aiden loves to sing and Write his own music. He is good at the piano but his love is the old guitar that his Gramps gave him years ago. Aiden has one younger brother named Caleb, which is the normal typical annoying brother. Aiden has a girlfriend named Tessa who lives about an hour away from him who he longs to marry. Throughout the story, Aiden struggles to move on through each day, as days turn into night and night into day, he finds himself growing colder towards his father. Who is the towns hero practically. everybody loves the star football coach, Josh Phillips. Things aren't what they seem behind doors though, their father tends to be abusive. Verbal and physical. Aiden can choose to live with his mom but chooses not to because he wants to protect his brother who can't choose yet. As Aiden dives deeper into his fathers unknown past, he uncovers more and more details about his father's past. As he continues to dive deeper, the tension grows heavier. Through out the story, Aiden finds himself digging through old journals, trying to remember certain things. Can Aiden solve the mystery of his father's behavior and show the world the true nature of his father or will he choose to shrink down to nothing and continue to struggle?Complete
