Emily is a girl who had her heart broken by her past exes. She doesn't let herself love again, but is finding it hard not to when she gets closer to her classmate, Aaron.
Aaron is head over heels, completely in love with his best friend, or so he think he is. All this changes when he gets to know this lonely girl sitting on the park bench.

"Let's do this again." I heard him say. I took a deep breath and held out my hand. I looked up at him and found myself staring at those brown eyes I can't resist. I smiled at him and said, "Hi, My name is Emily Jane Parker. I go by EJ. I'm seventeen years old. I like spending my afternoons at the park. Sometimes I bring my guitar, but most days I just sit on the bench and take in everything that's happening around me."
"Hello, My name is Aaron Joshua DelaPaz. My friends call me AJ. I'm seventeen years old. I like dancing, but I don't let other people watch me dance. I guess I'm too shy." He shrugged and continued, "And I would like you to give me another chance."
I cast my eyes downwards, feeling unsure. He used that opportunity to pull me to him.
"Just give me a chance, Em." He whispered. "Give me a chance to make you fall in love with me, like I fell for you."
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
