When Selina gets dumped in a viral YouTube video, there’s only one thing she can do: withdraw her savings, quit her temping job and leave. Vowing never to fall for guys like her ex again, she swaps London for Ibiza and finds herself volunteering in Colinas Verde. With its alternative, relaxed lifestyle, sunny skies and deep blue sea, it’s the perfect place to start her backpacking adventure and forget the humiliation she left behind. If only it weren’t for Alex.

Berlin born Alex is travelling solo, and with good reason. In the wake of a promising rock climbing career cut short due to injury, he’s left a trail of disappointment and broken hearts behind him. Determined not to make the same mistakes again, he opted to volunteer in sleepy Colinas Verde over hedonistic Southern Ibiza and with only one week left, it was a choice that paid off, until Selina showed up.

New housemates Selina and Alex are both determined to change, but in a place where people come and go and relationships are intense, old habits die hard.

Two backpackers. One week. What happens in Ibiza…

Not So Hot Girls Summer follows three best friends on the last of their summer holidays before starting in their careers. Amelie, Maddie and Frankie have been friends since they were children and now they have graduated from university, they are ready for their final weeks of freedom, this year with celebrations taking place in Bali. But all is not as glamorous as social media portrays. Each of the girls are complicated and with each of them keeping their issues under wraps, they begin to build their own warped perceptions on one another (don't worry, the omniscient narrator reveals all). Amelie is a relatable character for many millennials. She suffers from social anxiety, fearing awkward situations and questioning everyone's intentions. From her perspective, she already believes that she will be left behind after summer, with Maddie and Frankie phasing her out. But she's wrong. The narrative she has built in her own mind is nothing far from the truth. Maddie does care. In fact, Maddie cares more than anyone. She is the only one to have organised anything to ensure they have the most memorable last few weeks before entering the working world, even when she is secretively dealing with her own issues. It is Frankie that can't be trusted. She is the lost soul of the group who has adopted a mentality of no longer caring. Whilst some may view her carefree perspective as admirable, it is this outlook that is leading her to dangerous waters. But with each of the girls personally dealing with their struggles, it doesn't take long before the holiday turns into emotional chaos, especially when boys become involved. Amelie

Teo's gaze darkened, his breath warm against my skin. "I have a lot of feelings for you, Stella," he murmured, his fingers lightly grazing my arm. "Frustration. Desire. The kind of pull that has me thinking about you when I shouldn't." He moved closer, his voice dropping lower. "And a hell of a lot of attraction. But 'brotherly'? No, that's not even close." ________________ Stella had big plans for summer - Ibiza, rooftop parties, and perfectly posed yacht shots for her 200k Instagram followers. As New York's resident "it" girl, she thrived on glossy perfection, sharp comebacks, and a strict no-mud policy. But when her father blindsided her with the news that he wants her to spend the summer with him and his new girlfriend on her Ranch in Mexico, Stella's perfectly polished world came to a screeching halt. Her mission? Spend the summer in the middle of nowhere, bonding with his new girlfriend and her quiet, brooding son, Teo - her soon-to-be stepbrother. Naturally, Stella hates everything about it: the bugs, the heat, and especially Teo, who seems to see through her influencer exterior and doesn't care how many followers she has. The feeling is mutual - Teo doesn't mince words when it comes to her "city girl" antics, and their bickering quickly becomes the soundtrack of her summer. But somewhere between their heated arguments in the garden and stolen moments at the farmer's market, Stella starts to see the cracks in Teo's walls - and maybe even in her own. And when their teasing turns into something deeper, Stella realizes she's not just falling for the simplicity of farm life, but for the one person who shouldn't even be on her radar. Witty, romantic, and filled with tension, "Not So Brotherly" is a story about finding love where you least expect it - and discovering that sometimes, stepping off the grid is the only way to truly find yourself. _________________ Copyright ©MissMcloudz
